Tourism Authority of Thailand Picks The Media Shop to manage #UnboxThailand

Singapore, 10 April 2019 – Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has appointed The Media Shop to manage its new campaign, #UnboxThailand, which is a part of TAT’s bigger marketing initiative “Open to the New Shades”.
The #UnboxThailand campaign aims to maximise TAT’s reach and to drive awareness of Thailand as a preferred holiday destination. This is done through educating locals and tourists to break out of what they know about Thailand and to set their experience free.
The Media Shop worked with antics@play for this campaign, where antics@play provided digital branding, ad creative and PR support while The Media Shop focused on their expertise – providing media solutions to achieve TAT’s campaign goals.

COTY Asia selects The Media Shop as media agency

The Media Shop celebrates fifth anniversary with a new look

Local media agency The Media Shop marked its fifth anniversary with a revamped website which is said to be more mobile optimised and fully responsive for better access on the PC, tablet or smartphone.

The agency also recently bagged clients such as watch-maker Philip Stein, Mount Alvernia, a private care general hospital that provides services ranging from consultations, specialised treatment and rehabilitation and Hitachi Data Systems. Meanwhile, just recently the agency expanded into Oceania with a new office in Sydney after its reappointment as agency of record for CA Technologies.

The expansion follows a period of growth for the agency which opened its first overseas office in Taiwan last July.

Sydney Boat Show a success for boat manufacturer Steber International

Leading boat manufacturer Steber International has announced that it has achieved great success at this year’s Sydney International Boat Show, which took place at the Sydney Exhibition Centre from 31 July to 4 August 2014.

Following the success at the five-day event, with one confirmed sale and numerous quotes requested, Steber International revealed plans to exhibit at next year’s Shanghai Boat Show.

According to the news release issued by the company, Steber’s scale model display covered a range of commercial and recreational vessels from 28 to 60ft, as well as the unmanned surface vessel, the SSS Bluebottle.

“During the show we took time to talk with existing Steber clients, including various government departments, and were delighted to show off the new 38ft SLR (Super Long Rescue) and SS (Super Sports) models,” said Managing Director, Alan Steber.

“The model boats were acknowledged by many as a ‘smart move’ in helping open up conversations regarding customising options for potential customers. We have a great reputation in the marine industry and customers have confidence in talking to us, even though we are not standing on a full-size vessel.”

NSW Deputy Premier, Andrew Stoner and Minister for Roads and Maritime, Duncan Gay visited the Steber stand where they discussed potential industry improvements.

“Mr Steber also met with Jessica Toh (pictured) and Tim Stanford from The Media Shop Group based out of Singapore to start preparing a marketing strategy to enter the China and South East Asia markets,” it says in the news release.

Taree boat manufacturer, Steber International, continues to thrive

ONE confirmed sale and numerous quotes requested, has signalled another successful Sydney International Boat Show for leading boat manufacturer, Steber International.

During the five-day event, planning also began to exhibit at next year’s Shanghai Boat Show.

Managing director, Alan Steber said he was also delighted to see the Steber-built Marine Rescue 38, based at Middle Harbour Yacht Club, on display and open to the public.

“The vessel remains in as-new condition after completing 1500 engine hours in just over two years”, Mr Steber said.

NUS Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy chooses The Media Shop

SINGAPORE – The NUS Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy has appointed local independent media agency The Media Shop as agency of record for their upcoming regional campaign after a competitive pitch.

The agency will take on strategic planning and buying duties for the school.

Local media agency The Media Shop is expanding into Oceania with a new office in Sydney after its reappointment as agency of record for CA Technologies.

The expansion follows a period of growth for the agency which opened its first overseas office in Taiwan last July.

The Sydney office is led by new hire Tim Stanford who joins The Media Shop with over 13 years of experience in new media innovation, strategic account management and client servicing. Stanford will report to regional business director, Jessica Toh.

Stanford (pictured) was last head of business development at Scan2List. He has also worked in Sapient Nitro, Fairfax digital and other companies in the past.

“The Media Shop has proven their worth as an independent agency with a track record of regional campaigns run for blue chip companies – and clients are sitting up and noticing. I’m thrilled to join them at such an exciting juncture,” said Stanford.

CA Technologies has once again awarded The Media Shop Singapore media duties for their expanding regional campaign in Asia Pacific and Japan.

The Media Shop has carried out strategic planning, negotiations and buying duties for the tech giant since 2012. The new campaign for CA Technologies marks a shift away from traditional advertising to a full-fledged digital campaign, with emphasis on the Australian and Indian markets. The new campaign also marks successful runs in social and mobile advertising, which has heightened CA Technologies’ visibility in regional Asian countries.

Singaporean media agency The Media Shop to open in Australia

The Media Shop, a boutique media planning and buying agency in Singapore, is launching offices in Australia and Indonesia.
The launches will come about a year after The Media Shop opened for business in Taiwan, and are scheduled to open by the second half of this year, the agency’s business director Jessica Toh told Mumbrella Asia.

“We plan to hire a country manager and media planner to run businesses in these markets for Australia and Indonesia respectively,” said Toh, who will oversee the management of both offices.

As part of its expansion plans, the agency has hired Lee Chee Wee from Viacom International’s Nickelodeon channel – where he was a digital media producer – as head of digital.
Lee will work with Toh to boost the agency’s digital and social offerings.

Toh said in a press release: “We’re excited for Chee Wee to be part of the team at a time when we are looking to expand our footprint into Indonesia and Australia. Given his considerable experience in the digital space, more effective strategies can be devised to help our clients connect with their audiences digitally. He is well-positioned to lead and execute digital innovation which will maximize the return on investment for our clients.”

The Media Shop’s clients include CA Technologies, NETS, SanDisk, Royal Caribbean Cruises, OANDA, FireEye and Regus.
The agency was founded in 2009.
